GSL and C++

If  one wants to use exceptions in user supplied functions one has to use a special version of the GSL: http://www.gnu.org/software/gsl/manual/html_node/Compatibility-with-C_002b_002b.html

To use exceptions in the GSL I build it using sh configure CFLAGS=-fexceptions  (see also http://www.mail-archive.com/debian-bugs-dist@lists.debian.org/msg270711.html) I had no problems then.

The command gsl-config –cflags is useful to find out, whether these flags are included or not.

I compiled it successfully using sh configure –prefix=/home/theo/smeuren CFLAGS=-fexceptions
